I can’t get enough of Ghosty (aka Boo) from Mario Kart. He is my favorite character by far. This is another test stitching of one of the characters for my Nintendo Quilt.
The block is 6.5″ unfinished. I applied an all-purpose woven fusible interfacing to the white fabric so the background wouldn’t show through. The mouth is entirely stitched over the white, but I thought I’d balance out Ghosty by edging his mouth with the applique stitching. (This would also match the previous blocks that I have done.) I only made a couple minor tweaks to the file after this test stitch in order to address gaps in the fill…I call that a win!
