Four Fabric Foxes for a Friend

These four fabric foxes were  so fun to formulate! My friend was flabbergasted. This was the first finish of the year, which we dubbed the “Focus on Fabulous Finishes with Fabric” year.

The foxes came from Elizabeth Hartman’s Fancy Forest quilt pattern. The blue fabric is the Moda Grunge 2016 colors  and the background is Jen Kingwell’s Behind the Scenes, both from layer cake pre-cuts. As long as the background isn’t directional, you can get two complete blocks from each 10″ square (excluding the dark and light accent fabrics).

I quilted this mini quilt with clear Aurifil mono-filament thread. The setting that seemed to work well on my Husqvarna Designer Epic sewing machine was a tension of 3.8 and stitch length of 3.0mm.
